HISTORY

​

LASALA is an Asian ladies wear high fashion brand from the Philippines founded by

Mr. Jian Lasala, the company's CEO and Creative Director in 2006 as a way to generate extra income to help him with his living and school expenses while finishing his

Double Major Degree in Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship at the

University of San Carlos in Cebu City. The tough financial challenges of his family pushed the young designer to be entrepreneurial by selling rendered sketches and accepting clients who are seeking made-to-measure garments. After graduating with honors,

he then moved to Manila and pursued a career in fashion as a designer to brands like Bergamo, Bench and StokedInc and a stylist for SM Accessories while continuing his brand on the side. In 2014, the designer decided to go full-time with his brand Lasala after several years of work experience, accepting freelance design jobs and showings at the Philippine Fashion Week.

FASHION WEEK

​

LASALA was launched at the Philippine Fashion Week late in October of 2009 along with many other designer brands and labels by presenting a capsule collection of women's ready-to-wear at the SM Mall of Asia Main Atrium. The brand then continuously presented capsule collections of menswear and ladies wear for 11 seasons at Philippine Fashion Week however in June 2015 the brand was relaunched and showed a full collection of ladies wear that showcased day dresses, jumpsuits and elegant evening gowns which were designed for women who desires to look effortlessly beautiful.

ASIAN and GLOBAL CONQUEST

​

In May of 2015 the first ever Phnom Penh Fashion Week was the first platform of LASALA's introduction to the international Asian market. The brand presented a ladies wear collection alongside with designer labels from Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand. Shortly after a year, LASALA was invited to showcase at Hong Kong Fashion Week's CENTRESTAGE which was an inaugural event by HKTDC and was one of the 200 brands from all over the world and one of the only 2 Filipino brands who was a part of the four day exhibit with a one day fashion show. CENTRESTAGE in Hong Kong was the brand's official launching in the Asian fashion market and aligned with the company's current efforts towards penetrating the global fashion industry.

Lasala identifies itself with women who are comfortable in their own skin, sexuality, and who is unafraid to celebrate her femininity as well as her accomplishments in both her career and personal life. Apart from being determined, a #LASALAWOMAN is always in touch with her emotions and senses. She is constantly aware of her surroundings, and always seeks to have a better perspective and understanding of the world and of humanity by doing charitable works, traveling, and community service. A #LASALAWOMAN can be anybody. She could be a mother juggling three shifts to make both ends meet, a loving wife, a political leader, an award-winning actress, a philantrophist or SHE COULD BE YOU.
