Bride Story

MAY LINA - QUIOGUE

January 8, 2018

Crystal Beach Resort, San Narciso Road

Zambales, Pangasinan

May was a friend of a friend and eventually we became close friends because of a common connection, SURFING. Although yours truly did not surf as a hobby, May did and she became so into it that she fulfills her desire for surfing every weekend not only as a weekend getaway but also a time to reflect and get in touch with her soul. While the waves continuously hits her sun-kissed skin while she paddles, it led her to a love story like no other. On one ordinary surfing day, she met Droy who by the way is an avid fan of surfing and does it as a hobby for the same reason as May. One thing led to another and that common connection made the two a lot closer and no waves can separate May and Droi apart. Eventually, the time came when Droy professed his love for May and both of them decided to tie the knot.

The preparation for the wedding was early and May's vision of her dream wedding was clear. She wanted it in the beach nonetheless, and she wanted it very rustic, and organic down to the very last detail. Her inspiration was from their love story that started in their favorite hobbies which was surfing. Furthermore, May wanted it very non-traditional, intimate and very simple.

She came to us already with a dress in mind. She wanted something fluid, ethereal, made of soft lace and something that can be worn at the beach with a rustic touch. More so, she wanted to appear clothed showing only little skin with relaxed vibe to show a modern kind of bride. So for May, we designed a skirt made of layers and layers of soft tulle, with a nude base lace corset, with a see-through neck line, and a traditional three-fourth's sleeves shirred at the top most part of the armhole. The skirt had a long train with lace scallops, and the back was decorated with faux-pearl buttons to add a rustic touch. The gown went through a revision from the first design originally made however, it became the perfect gown of which what May really wanted after a beautiful collaboration with us. May was truly happy to tie-the-knot in our dress and likewise made a vow to make their dreams come true together with the man that she loves.
