Bride Story
Dawn Fabie - Bernardo
May 4, 2013
Sanctuario de San Antonio,
Forbes Park, Makati City
Dawn was a college close friend who by many was the go-to person for anyone who's had a terrible day. She that kind of person who literally brightens up your day with her good vibes and positive energy. She greets everyone she meets with a smile and she never misses to make her friends specially the ones closest to her every time she bumps into them within the school premises. Dawn and yours truly call each other "girlfriend" and "boyfriend". We greet each other with those words of endearment and to be honest, it's only her that calls this designer her "boyfriend" up until today. This designer is clueless until today how we got along however as far as this designer's memory is clear, we were introduced by another friend Beth of whom until today owes this designer a dream wedding dress to be executed in the near future. It was one of those moments when we met that we instantly clicked and when we were together, the whole world just seems to revolve around us because when we have so much fun, nothing else really matters; not even the people in the surrounding. Dawn is that tall girl with a beautiful, curvy body and beautiful eyes with a nice set of teeth. She is unaware that she is that beautiful and because of her natural charm, boys would tend to be comfortable around her and she becomes one of them. This designer really does not have any idea about the specifics of her love-life or if that she remained private about it, however, as beautiful as she is, she also had to kiss a lot of frogs before ending up with Andre.

We lost touch for a long time as this designer just decided to leave Cebu without letting anyone know for a career in fashion here in Manila. Not until one day that Dawn sent yours truly a private message on Facebook announcing it officially to this designer that she's getting married. She didn't delay things that much and as for the recommendation of our best friend Beth, Dawn decided to get yours truly as her designer for her dream wedding dress which made her dream event all the more exciting! Dawn was one of those Brides that was very easy to work with. She was pretty much just like any other Bridal beauty who was anxious but she never gave this designer a hard time. What she wanted for her dress was just a simple ball gown with delicate lace details and for her Bridesmaids, she wanted a dress in nude with layers of soft silk fabrics in sheer. The mothers also had dresses made by this designer and of the same nude shades, the dresses came out in lace details, pleated soft silks and fluid chiffon. All of them including the Bride looked very elegant in a very intimate affair.

Well, the story did not end there. Let's talk about the series of parties that happened.

First, the Bridal Shower. This designer was requested to join as it was also the perfect time for the entourage and the Bride to do the fittings. Yes the fitting was successful however, the party was even more successful. As you all know, we vowed to just drink less so that we'd remain sober for the rest of the night but it did not happen. Drinks after drinks came and you can just imagine that we were just all ladies in the hotel room and the Bridal party decided to do a bar hop. We were all fuzzy when we arrived at that bar of which this designer could not even recall. We did not stay long but we remembered that the group got divided because only God knows why. We made it back but this designer had to go to another party. We all met at lunch the day after and what we could only remember are just the small details of the things that happened the fun-filled evening the night before which included games and drinks and more drinks.

Second, the Wedding Reception. It was all serene and calm when the guests arrived doing all the necessary pre-ceremony events. We were all in our best behaviors looking for our respective tables. This was held in Blue Leaf in BGC so it was a posh place. The food was great specially the roast beef! It became a blockbuster. Going back to our most behaved guests which only lasted for a few hours when the drinks came. Best part of the night? YES! and what's so amazing is that everyone was game including the Principal Sponsors. The Wedding Reception instantly became that fun, high school reunion that you missed back in the day. This designer has receipts to share. Drinks were flowing left and right. Each table had bottles and we couldn't even count how many shots each of us had. This designer did not stay long however, goodbyes took forever as for every friend that tried to leave were offered drinks by the newlyweds and was forced to stay a little bit longer. Our Bride Dawn just relayed to us more details after the event when we saw each other again and mind you, it was that kind of party that you wished you were a part of.

Dawn and Andre's wedding was that kind of affair that everyone who was a part of it would truly remember. It was not only fun but it was very relaxed and everybody pretty came as they are even if the guests were all dressed up. What Dawn had in mind was perfectly executed by her suppliers and until today, we keep on going back to that day where we got so crazy, letting ourselves lose for a little bit from the stressful life here in Manila. Dawn and Andre's Wedding was not just another Wedding, but an event where the guests found a reason to drink and party.

Today, Dawn and Andre are blessed with two beautiful boys and they make excellent parents. We wish them both all the best in life.
