Bride Story

Our story with Isabeli, fondly called "Leny" by most of our friends was a very unique one. A friend asked yours truly to go out with him for a night cap and when I met Leny we instantly clicked. After a few bottles of wine and slices of cold cuts and cheese platters, we started opening up about our personal lives and more so about my profession as a fashion designer. When I mentioned to her that I design clothes for a living, her eyes glistened and beamed with joy and excitement. She then asked me "Would it be possible if you can design my wedding dress?" and just as excited as she was I answered "Yes" without knowing that I was in afor a treat because she then said "I am getting married in four and a half weeks and I am leaving for Bangkok in two days. Can we meet tomorrow so that I can have my fitting?" Of course, you already knew what my answer was being the "go getter" type of person that I am and the rest was history. Little did I know that by doing this huge favor by making her dream wedding dress a reality would not only lead to a wonderful friendship but a fruitful one as well. She could not contain her happiness for what we did by granting her her wish thus she also decided to have her bridesmaids dresses made by us as well and then one thing lead to another when her best friend for life Arriane, who was Leny's bridesmaid then also became a Lasala Bride four years after.
It was not a challenge to dress up Leny as it was every designer's dream to dress up somebody like her because she is extremely gorgeous and the word beautiful is an understatement to describe her remarkable beauty. Furthermore, she has always maintained her physique, and her proportions was every designer's dream prototype. In addition to that she is a beauty queen, and has appeared on several commercials and runway shows in the Philippines. The only challenge then during the process was the distance as she was our first bride to ever fit without my presence as I only needed to send the dress to Bangkok where was currently based.

Leny's dress was a simple off-shouldered, serpentine cut with lace appliques and I personally was very happy with her choice as it is seldom for brides to go for a design that is minimalist and sensual in nature. I never doubted her taste in style and she was so happy with the outcome. Until now, I am still very proud to show off Leny as one of our brides and the beautiful memory of the journey that came along with it. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend her wedding as I was denied a passport at the DFA. Silly right? But that was the time when extortion was severe in the Philippines' public offices. Nonetheless, her wedding was a beautiful one and it is still very much worth sharing until today.

Here is her short but sweet message on her experience with us:

"Jian thanks very much for making my beautiful dress. Everyone admired it. My bridesmaids also looked amazing on their dresses. I will definitely recommend your brand to future brides who would need a dress."
